J. Anthony Petrelli

J. Anthony Petrelli has joined CardPak Inc. (Solon, OH) as its president and COO. He most recently served as vice president of marketing and business development for Caraustar Industries. CardPak specializes in custom- engineered packaging designs and solutions using card ed packaging and specialty paperboard converting.

MGS Machine Corp. (Maple Grove, MN), a provider of packaging and product-handling machinery, has named Michael R. Verdon its new director of operations. Verdon will oversee engineering and manufacturing operations as well as the company’s product-handling facility.

DataLase (Norcross, GA) board member Trevor Bailey has been named chairman. As chairman, Bailey will ensure that the relationship between new and current investors, board members, and management is developed and maximized. Bailey will continue to work closely with executive management to increase the presence of the company’s laser-marking products on the global market.

Invetech (San Francisco, CA), which offers engineering services and custom automation services, has appointed Ian Fitzpatrick as manager of manufacturing innovation in North America. Fitzpatrick will be leading a team dedicated to exploring how to meet clients’ manufacturing needs. He was previously a project manager in the company’s Australian office.

Glenn B. Schulz has been appointed general manager of Dorner Autologik (Hartland, WI), a division of Dorner Manufacturing Corp. The division specializes in material-handling automation solutions. Schulz was previously with Rockwell Automation for 12 years.

Tapemark (West St. Paul, MN) has named a new sales team. Connie Fagen was named manager—key account development, Mark Hebaus was named sales support manager, and Steve Larsen was named national sales manager. Fagen will be taking part in formulating overall market strategies for the pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer markets. Hebaus will lead the sales support team and will be responsible for project coordination. Larsen will be responsible for leading the sales team to identify new business opportunities, and for creating revenue growth and customer-satisfaction strategies.

Romaco has appointed Gary Kedgley vice president of sales and marketing. He is based in the company’s European headquarters in Karsruhe, Germany. Kedgley will work with the senior management team to direct growth of the company’s global business and production centers in Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.

George Lastra is the new western regional sales manager for NJM/CLI (Lebanon, NH). Lastra will be responsible for bringing the company’s packaging technology to customers in the western United States and Canada. He formerly served as president of the Western Packaging Association.
